Astrographic entry: New Holstice
New Holstice is known as a peaceful planet. Its luscious landscapes are considered some of the finest in the Outer Rim. For that reason, the planet was selected as Tresario's hospital world. Selkath medical personnel are in abundance on New Holstice, as they thrive in the vast, unspoiled oceans. More than 50 hospital cities are scattered throughout the planet, each offering state of the art tertiary care facilities, providing the most comprehensive treatment in the galaxy. New Holstice has over 10,000 full-time Selkath consultants across the planet; giving patients access to highly respected specialists that have been extensively trained in their field of residency and are supported by dedicated teams of nursing and robotic health staff.
The medical tradition on New Holstice has its roots in the Galactic Republic, although the planet became associated with the Old Republic as long as 4,000 years ago. Home to a unique native insect called the memory moth, these luminous immortals are capable of mimicking sounds that they have been taught. Eons ago, the people of New Holstice built a memorial featuring clouds of these memory moths that paid tribute to fallen Jedi by whispering their names.
