Murkhana IV

Astrographic entry: Murkhana IV
Murkhana IV is a massive blue gas giant that hosts a vast array research stations in its orbit. At its core, Murkhana IV is filled with resources, including gems, minerals, tibanna gas, and spice. The near impossibility of navigation in the planet's inner atmosphere has led it to become a haven for daring smugglers and spice runners eager make a fortune and avoid detection and arrest. To combat the perrenial piracy problem has led the Tresarian government to mobilize its army and crackdown on all smugglers and spice runing operations operating on the planet. With the detained smugglers crowding prisons elsewhere in the system, Tresario decided to use the smugglers' confinscated loot to fund the transformation of Murkhana IV into a high-security prison planet, using those convicts as labor for the mines in order to extract resources from the planet's ring. Now, Murkhana IV is safe and a rich planet within the Murkhana system.

Murkhana

Astrographic entry: Murkhana
Murkhana is a planet known for its spectacular natural beauty. The planet's pristine coastline, its sheltered coves, and particularly its coral reefs have made it a much sought after vacation destination for sentients around the galaxy. The island is surrounded by coral reefs. Beaches in the south and west tend to have white sand, while those in the north and west have black sand. The continent Bali has no major waterways, although the north and south oceans are navigable by Benetti B-68’s and Revenant Wavespeeders, which are used by Tresario’s Navy year round and by wealthy vacationers during the holidays. Being just thirty minutes flight time from its sun Murkhana Prime, Murkhana has a fairly even climate all year round. The northwest and southeast poles are used by vacationers during the cold season for skiing and Tauntaun sport hunting.

Murkhana II

Astrographic entry: Murkhana II
Murkhana II was a planet that was once covered in glaciers. Researchers hypothosize that a near miss with a planetoid or a large meteorite impact altered the planet's rotation and position, moving it into a closer orbit of the system's star. The new-found closer proximity to the sun has caused the planet's glaciers to recede, leaving in their wake a land full of various types of terrain from rock, forest, jungle, and desert. This glacial erosion is what has made the Murkhana II's landscape so diverse and breathtaking. Millenia of eriosion had left behind an assortment of maze-liked caves within Murkhana II, which have led to the formation of a network of aquifers and underground lakes within the porous structure of the planet, which eventually feed the equatorial Murk Sea. Because of the danger posed by these geologic formations, much of the caves remain unexplored. It has long been rumored that a subspecies of Krayt Dragons live deep within them, but that has yet to be confirmed by the planet's biologists. It is said that a secret group of Tresarians warriors, known as the "Hunt Masters" hunt these dragons as a rite of passage.

Murkhana III

Astrographic entry: Murkhana III
This frosty planet has a hostile but tolerable environment. Over the years there have been reports of it being used as a base by pirates and other shady characters who wish to avoid attention. The warmest areas are to be found in the southern hemisphere of the planet where large volcanoes spew warm gases into the atmosphere, helping the growth of a few forested regions.
