Message: Greetings esteemed leaders,

Our galaxy continues to become a highly volatile and partisan political atmosphere. The Anzatan Commonwealth has long been neutral in this galactic firestorm, but it has become apparent over the past few years that the New Republic and it cadre of sycophants that comprise the Galactic Alliance, are on a continued path of unprovoked aggression and oppression against the citizens of the Commonwealth. There have been numerous transgressions over the years, but the major incidents were the Jedi Order attempting to bribe Natsuki Haines to murder our Queen Keishi Miahr or Chancellor Soki Ionian, and the New Republic’s illegal arrest of Commonwealth citizen Deren Strife who continues to be denied trial despite the Non-Aggression Pact we held at the time. The Anzatan Commonwealth has been and will always be committed to galactic peace. For a long time, we mistakenly thought that the problems which are galaxy faces would be resolved by time and reason, and hence we adopted a policy of neutrality to wait it out. But we realize now that the mere existence of the Galactic Alliance, is the largest single threat to the peace-loving people of this galaxy, and we will not be diverted from our course in seeking the destruction of the Galactic Alliance as a political body and the break-up of its member states.

These hostilities against our Sovereign State are not a lone occurrence but a repeating pattern of behavior. These aren't one-time mistakes by a good-natured, friendly government, but intentional provocations by a morally corrupt, totalitarian state. They turn good-hearted local governments into hives of scum and villainy, where honest values and virtues are replaced in favor of vice. They turn parents trying to support their children and families into uninvolved loafers living on the government dole; they turn involved citizens trying to make their cities into better places for their kids, into bad citizens that corrupt the very souls of their communities, for no reason other than political expediency. No cause, no ideology, no grievance, no false sense of reality, no movement, can justify the intentional permanent detainment or premeditated murder of innocent civilians and noncombatants. This type of behavior is unacceptable by any moral standard. As these continued atrocities are directed at our Sovereignty and that of others, our citizens ask, “Where does the Anzatan Commonwealth stand?” Since the coronation of our Queen, the Anzatan Commonwealth has had an answer to that question. We stand for free people and free economies across this galaxy, which will ultimately lead to true and lasting galactic peace. We will defend and support them always, for we cherish liberty and freedom. In the Anzatan Commonwealth we are so fortunate, that our citizens and other sentients from across the galaxy, volunteer to protect and defend freedom and liberty through service in the Anzatan Commonwealth’s military. Sometimes these volunteers pay the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our ideals. These sacrifices should never be in vain. We must protect, promote, preserve, and defend these values in the galaxy. The Anzatan Commonwealth must follow the example of those who volunteer to defend us, and can no longer be reluctant to take a part on the galactic stage. We must resolve to stand with the Imperial Union for freedom and liberty. Our allies must know that we will be reliable, consistent and determined and our enemies should be terrified and afraid, for they must know that for the Anzatan Commonwealth, we will not abandon the cause of freedom. For if we give up, it would violate the very core of the Anzatan Commonwealth. If the Commonwealth does anything less, we condemn countless generations to hopelessness and servitude, and tear apart the very fabric of who we are.

For these reasons, the Anzatan Commonwealth has decided to make a public stance against the countless aggressions of the tyrannical New Republic and their Galactic Alliance, by giving its full support for the only policy which gives any hope of safeguarding the citizens of this galaxy, and their political and economic freedoms. That policy is the Imperial Union, the only galactic union which promotes economic and scientific liberty across this galaxy. Let us resist the false hopes, countless lies and unrealistic dreams of the Galactic Alliance in their continued tirade to oppress, by mob rule, the citizens of this galaxy for the benefit of a select few cronies in the Galactic Alliance leadership.
