Anzat I

Astrographic entry: Anzat I
Anzat I is one of the original planets settled by the Anzati civilization. The opportunity was seized to expand and many Anzati moved to this world seeking the promise of a better life, thus heralding a new era, an era of the colonization of other worlds. Anzat I prospered and grew as did the other Anzati civilizations. Though without strong leadership, the sects jostled amongst themselves for power, position, and religious freedom. Not long after, tragedy struck. Anzat I befell a natural disaster when an asteroid from the nearby fields crashed into the planet, causing mass devastation, loss of life and an outbreak of fear in its aftermath. Due to constant wars between sects, is was widely suggest that another Anzat faction had set this asteroid to collide with Anzat I or more specifically the Calu sect settlements. The truth was never found out, and many Anzati fled their devastated cities, believing the planet to be cursed. The planet’s reputation was further tarnished by those who visited it (illegal miners, smugglers), to mine and seek their fortune. Many returned with horror stories of brain suckers infesting the planet and worse. For two and a half millennia, Anzat I remained officially deserted. But with the establishment of the New Anzat Order and the subsequent quelling of sectarian struggles, scouts were sent and Anzat I became colonization once more.

Anzat II

Astrographic entry: Anzat II
Thought to be a formation of the gases leftover from whatever cataclysm caused the massive amount of asteroids in the system, Anzat II stellar body with a diverse composition. Republic scientists in the sector who have done analyses of Anzat II have deduced that many of the gases contained in the atmosphere of Anzat II are those commonly found in commercial and industrial starship technology. While this does not conclusively prove the theory of a sentient-caused cataclysm, it certainly does a great deal to encourage belief in that theory.

Anzat IV

Astrographic entry: Anzat IV
After the unfortunate events on Anzat I, sect rivalries almost consumed this planet as well. If not for the formation of the Anzat Order, Anzat IV might have suffered a similar fate. However, the Anzat Order successfully halted the progression, disarming would-be antagonists and dismantling weapons on the companion moon. The lessons of the past were not lost on the citizens of Anzat IV, the planet became widely recognized as one of the few beacons of religious freedoms in the galaxy. The New Anzat Order maintained a strong ground force in the region and developed some of the most sophisticated non-lethal weapons and riot gear to neutralize what heated and violent riots still arose.

As Anzat IV grew under the watchful eye of the Anzat Order it produced some great explorers that were determined to find other signs of intelligent life in the universe. After contact with other races, many aliens immigrated to the Anzat system after hearing of its religious policies to escape persecution in their own homeworlds. Anzat IV was an ideal choice, a planet with a wide range of climates and environments. Many of the people made the planet home, bringing all sorts of technology and experiences that drove Anzat IV to become a strong economic power. Since those times, Anzat IV seemed to be the first point of call for anyone new to the system. Many citizens of Anzat IV joined into the forces of the system government to secure the Anzat system and its legacy of religious freedom from all in the galaxy that would threaten it.

Anzat V

Astrographic entry: Anzat V
Theorized by many to be the largest of the bodies thrown into orbit by whatever caused the asteroids in the same system, Anzat V is the center of a great deal of controversy. The planetary surface is pockmarked with holes from where other orbiting bodies have been drawn in by the gravitational field of Anzat V and impacted on its surface. It has been deemed by many surveyors to be too dangerous in terms of meteor impacts for unshielded colonies. There are rumors circulating amongst spacer lore that a nest of mynocks lies hidden under the planet's surface, although this has yet to be proven. Proven or not, however, many spacers steer clear of the Anzat V colonies.

Anzat

Astrographic entry: Anzat
Anzat is one of the most ancient planets in the galaxy. Located close to the Outer Rim, it is a desert planet with no bodies of water and is incapable of sustaining outdoor plant life. While the planet is a desert, there are two polar caps of ice on the planet that are melted to give the population water. food is grown in caves and indoors. For generations, the planet was only dotted with small settlements due to the nature of the Anzati to leave to search for ‘soup’. However, with so many Anzati leaving the planet, the local government has brought in outsiders, who live alongside the native Anzati population. Now a sprawling ecumenopolis is present, covering most of the surface, featuring many districts dotted with temples and residential or recreational complexes.

Moons

Anzat IV Companion

Astrographic entry: Anzat IV Companion
The companion moon has a dark and bloody history that has all but been forgotten with the graceful passage of time. Anzat IV Companion was a strategic launch point for the brutal and bloody sectarian wars that engulfed Anzat I. With the threat of chaos looming over Anzat IV’s future, the New Anzat Order was born. Sects planning to continue the battles were disarmed and the infamous companion moon was dismantled of all weapons. Later the moon was transformed into a launchpad for early explorers and served as a gateway to the universe. Anzat IV Companion even had a notable museum owing to its original dark use and its subsequent contribution to galactic exploration. With the advancement of technology though, the moon is no longer needed for a launchpad and has since been forgotten and left to its own affairs.
